If you have not purchase macbook till now, and you are planning to purchase it then you can definitely go for it for programming & developing your own scripts.
Else if you have already any older version of MacBook about 2017, 2018 or 2019 model and its battery backup is fine ( other condition also ) then you can continue with it.
